Washing Clothes With Swarovksi Rhinestone Patterns
Now you've got your flatback rhinestone pack, mastered the hotfix wand, and you've got that special rhinestone sparkle on an article of clothing. You've worn it and now it needs to be laundered because you'd like to wear it again soon. Fortunately you're a smart person and you realize that you can't just toss it in the wash without a few considerations. There's a rhinestone or two to consider, and all the glue holding them all together.
Let's go over all the caveats for laundering Swarovski rhinestone clothing.
1.Use cold water.
Heat reactivates the glue and using hot water may end up dislodging the stones. You can get away with using warm water but to be safe use only cold water when washing your clothing with Swarovski rhinestones attached.
2.Use the gentle cycle
Anything less than gentle can bang a rhinestone out of place. Don't be afraid to hand wash things – nothing is more gentle than that. Turn the clothing inside out, too. A rhinestone shouldn't be banged up against the side of the washer.
3.Air dry the garment.
Like we said before, heat reactivates the glue. Some people place their items in the dryer for a short while and then air dry but who is really in a hurry to get their clothes back. Hang up the garment and let it dry
4.Iron the rhinestone clothing carefully.
Do not go over your pattern with an iron. Once again, heat reactivates the glue and once again we know you're smart and we don't need to say that three times for you.
